Please look up, a very long way up, at the US Debt overhang. It is huge, so large that it will be impossible to pay off with tax rates of 99% for generations!
Get out of us$. I bought gold & silver as they have no counter party risk, can't be printed or transmitted electronically.
Fiat 'money' is officially called "currency & credit in circulation."
It is as solid as a cloud, it is vapor money. When it evaporates you may have a bank balance in the millions, but it won't buy a loaf of bread. (Google Weimar Republic Inflation)
Own your car. If you can own your home, do it. (I live cheap in a mobile home I own.) In short don't owe, own. Live well within your means. Please see Mises.org for a discussion of reality based economics. Vapor economics can't help us.
