Looks like my original comment was lost.

Can out please explain when you say "a country enjoys twin surpluses (primary fiscal and current account)"> Can you please give the numbers fr the country? Are you saying that the country takes in more in taxes than it spends? Are you sure?

As for Lithium, SQM in Chile has 200 or 400 years of reserve. There is plenty of it around. Lithium is another bubble.

Thorough article. Can you let us know where did you get that the country has twin surpluses "primary fiscal and current account"? Please let us what are the values of these. Are you saying that the country generates more in taxes than it spends?

There was a note about Lithium at the end. Lithium is another bubble. SQM in Chile has lithium reserves for 200 to 300 years. The to commodity in this space in 2009 was lead! Never mind Lithium.

Good, thorough assessment. I wonder, however, about the "baby with the bathwater" impact on PBR and VALE. PBR, still high on the lists of some analysts, has yet-to-be-extracted, extra deep-water discoveries that should boost its earnings for years to come, or so we are told, and VALE is leveraging both its production and sales, again so we are told, to assure that its product morphs into money or a regular basis. Where does that puts these to equities?
