I have owned Three Saabs in the past ten years and I liked all of them. That said though I can't understand why they would keep Saab which is void of innovation since GM took over and at the same time dump Pontiac which has synergy with their other brands. I also am under the impression that Pontiac's best car in decades, the new G8, is also based
on an Opel platform. Since Opel is staying I would think they should revisit the Pontiac decision. I recently drove a G8 and as a lifelong motor head I was transported back to 1963 and my first time behind the wheel of the new GTO. It was quick, handled as well or better than anything in its class and the interior was fresh.
