I am neither amazed nor astonished with Hutchinson's idea as it clearly reflects the wrong side of globalization that allows fraudsters to deceive minoriy shareholders and ultimately kill capitalism for the joy of comunists and bureaucrats.

An example of such criminal attitude is the establishment of NYSE listed companies in Luxembourg where they have neither real offices nor employees and the like while they continue to operate and direct their activities from their usual place of residence or other secretive jurisdictions. In most cases these successful businessman hide their real assets through a network of trusts and shell companies created with the assistance of the big accounting and auditing firms.
For mysterious and unexplained reasons governments are unwilling to take corrective action and thus the current economic/financial crisis will continue for the foreseeable future. Globalization with local rules is a paradise for criminals and a heaven for terrorists who can penetrate those uncontrolable but NYSE listed companies. I hope that I do not offend anyone if I remind that reputble financial institutions are used by the same entrepreneurs for money laundering activities.

I live in a small town in Pa. that is soon to be on the front lines of the Marcellus Shale gas industry.Greed and propaganda has bought off common sense in the people around here, tho some of us are doing everything we can to tell people of the extreme danger our environment will be in.

One fun fact: a single well uses 1-3 million gallons of our fresh water. 140,000 lbs of toxic chemicals will be added to it and it will be injected into our good earth for each fracking. One well can be fracked up to 18 times.Thousands of gallons of poisonous backflow is produced. They are planning thousands of wells. They are planning these wells in our watersheds (those that supply the entire city of N.Y.C.too)They are fighting any regulations. If we don't suceed in stopping them , this land will be DONE.

Many of us are already looking at new safe places to move to if we fail to wake people up.

We will be The New Refugees- in our own country. Say hello to the future if we don't throw all our $ and resources into alternative, green energy.

You businessmen still don't get it: Everything you covet comes, utimately, from our good earth.
Kill that- and no more business.

Whether the Bambi generation wants to acknowledge it or not, we need oil and will continue to need oil for the foreseeable future. With all the enviro-nuts crusading to shut down the oil industry, what will these children do when they cannot afford to drive to work (if they are still lucky enough to have a job) or heat their homes next winter? Will they finally grow up? Not likely, because they are weak and pathetic, short on self-discipline and long on self-delusion.

Poor Jeffrey Skilling. Poor BP. Gimme a break!

There are so many logical, balanced arguments for why we should not over-react to the BP oil spill. None of them are here. Instead we get a treatise on how large corporations can avoid financial liability. This article is shameful!
