		<description>There are plenty of index funds (AMJ, MLPN, MLPL) and closed end funds (TYY, TYG, KYN. KYE, ETC. )that can be held without problem in IRAs - they also don&#039;t require any special accounting as you receive a 1099 not a K-1.</description>

		<description>Every time someone writes an article about MLPs they fail to mention the adverse tax consequences for those who invest through an IRA or 40K. 
The cost of accounting for these distributions for a small investor (1000 shares or less) can be higher than the amount of the distribution.</description>
