These 35 Stocks That Pay Dividends Just Hiked Payouts for Higher Yields

Stocks that pay dividends are once again ramping up payout increases and special enrichments.

They never disappeared this year, but dividend enhancements did slow to a trickle over the past couple of weeks.

But last week dividend improvements flooded Wall Street. A whopping 75 companies increased payouts, including Visa Inc. (NYSE: V), AbbVie Inc. (NYSE: ABBV), and Halliburton Co. (NYSE: HAL). In addition, five companies announced special dividends and three declared stock dividends.

Following are 35 notable dividend enrichments announced during the week ending Oct. 25.

AbbVie Inc. (NYSE: ABBV) upped its quarterly dividend $0.07 to $0.49 a share for a 3.25% yield. The dividend hike came after the pharmaceutical products maker called off its $55 billion deal to buy Shire Plc. (Nasdaq ADR: SHPG).

American Electric Power Co. Inc. (NYSE: AEP) increased its quarterly dividend $0.03 to $0.53 a share for a 3.75% yield. The company has been paying dividends for the past 418 consecutive quarters, with hikes announced at regular intervals. The last increase was in October 2013.

Brown & Brown Inc. (NYSE: BRO) boosted its quarterly dividend a penny to $0.11 a share for a 1.4% yield.

Carolina Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: CARO) sweetened its quarterly payout 20% to $0.03 per share for a near 1% yield. The Charleston, S.C.-based bank also declared at 2-for-1 stock dividend effective Nov. 14.

Cintas Corp. (Nasdaq: CTAS) increased its quarterly dividend 10.4% to $0.85 a share for a 1.19% yield. The Cincinnati-based company also announced a $0.85 per share special dividend payable on Dec. 5 to shareholders of record Nov. 7.

Dynagas LNG Partners LP (Nasdaq: DLNG) raised its quarterly dividend 6.8% to $0.39 a share for a 7.07% yield.

Evercore Partners Inc. (NYSE: EVR) increased its quarterly payout $0.03 to $0.28 a share for a 2.23% yield.

Equinix Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX) announced a hefty $7.57 per share special dividend payable on Nov. 25 to shareholders of record Oct. 27. The move comes as the data services provider moves ahead with plans to convert to a real estate investment trust (REIT).

First Defiance Financial (Nasdaq: FDEF) fattened its quarterly dividend 16.7% to $0.175 a share for a 2.42% yield.

Global Partners LP (NYSE: GLP) goosed its quarterly dividend 2.4% to $0.65 a share for a 6.52% yield.

Halliburton Co. (NYSE: HAL) hiked its quarterly payout 20% to $0.18 a share for a 1.29% yield. Last week, the oil giant reported a 70% increase in Q3 earnings.

Holly Energy Partners LP (NYSE: HEP) boosted its quarterly dividend 1.5% to $0.52 a share for a yield just shy of 6%.

Jarden Corp. (NYSE: JAH) announced a 3-for-2 stock dividend payable Nov. 24 to shareholders of record Nov. 3

LRR Energy LP (NYSE: LRR) hiked its quarterly distribution 0.5% to $0.495 a share for a yield approaching 12%.

MarkWest Energy Partners LP (NYSE: MWE) moved its quarterly dividend up 1.1% to $0.89 a share for a near 5% yield.

Middlesex Water Co. (Nasdaq: MSEX) raised its quarterly dividend 1.3% to $0.192 a share for a 3.7% yield. The increase represents the 42nd consecutive year the New Jersey-based company has raised its dividend.

NewMarket Corp. (NYSE: NEU) nudged its quarterly dividend up $0.30 to $1.40 a share for a 1.14% yield.

OCI Resources LP (NYSE: OCIR) raised its quarterly dividend 5% to $0.525 a share for a 9.31% yield.

Oneok Inc. (NYSE: OKE) increased its quarterly payout 2.6% to $0.59 a share for a 3.9% yield.

Parker Hannifin Corp. (NYSE: PH) padded its dividend 31.3%, or $0.15, to $0.63 a share for a 2.16% yield. The Dec. 5 payout marks the company's 258th consecutive quarterly dividend.

Phillips 66 Partners LP (NYSE: PSXP) juiced its quarterly payout 5% to $0.31 a share for yield just shy of 2%.

Pulte Group Inc. (NYSE: PHN) increased its quarterly dividend $0.03, or 60%, to $0.08 a share a for a 1.64% yield.

QEP Midstream Partners LP (NYSE: QEPM) hiked its quarterly payout $0.02 to $0.30 a share for a 7.6% yield.

Rose Rock Midstream LP (NYSE: RRMS) raised its quarterly dividend 16.2% to $0.575 a share for a 4% yield.

Seagate Technology Plc. (NYSE: STX) sweetened its quarterly payout $0.09 to $0.54 a share for a 3.7% yield.

Six Flags Entertainment Corp. (NYSE: SIX) raised its quarterly dividend a nickel to $0.52 a share for a 5.28% yield. The 11% increase represents the company's fifth consecutive year of dividend increases.

Southern National Bancorp of VA Inc. (Nasdaq: SONA) declared a $0.30 per share special dividend payable on Nov. 21 to shareholders of record Nov. 12.

Stantec Inc. (NYSE: STN) announced a 2-for-1 stock dividend payable on Nov. 14 to shareholders of record Oct. 31.

Tesoro Logistics LP (NYSE: TLLP) boosted its dividend 4.5% to $0.64 a share for a 4.22% yield.

USA Compression Partners LP (NYSE: USAC) upped its quarterly payout 1% to $0.505 a share for an 8.22% yield.

VF Corp. (NYSE: VFC) increased its quarterly payout 21.9% to $0.32 a share for a 1.92% yield. VFC has been growing its dividend annually for the last 41 years.

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) raised its quarterly payout $0.08 to $0.48 a share for a yield approaching 1%.

Waste Connections Inc. (NYSE: WCN) increased its quarterly payout 13% to $0.13 a share for a 1.06% yield.
