Model S Criticism Doesn't Change Anything - Tesla Stock (Nasdaq: TSLA) Still a "Buy"

On Tuesday afternoon, Money Morning Defense & Tech Specialist Michael A. Robinson joined FOX Business' "Varney & Co." to talk about possible trouble brewing for Tesla stock (Nasdaq: TSLA)...

A new review released Tuesday morning from Consumer Reports said that Tesla's Model S "has more than its share of problems." The report stated that "over the last 15,743 miles, our test car has developed many minor problems that merit some reflection," and went on to cite programming glitch issues.

News of thecriticism put a dent in Tesla stock, which slumped 1.9% through mid-morning - the Model S is Tesla's flagship vehicle, and its success is crucial to the company's financial well-being.

The world's first premium electric sedan, the Model S was first introduced in June 2012. Since then, the car has racked up a number of industry accolades. It scored a perfect 5.0 safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it became the first electric car to top the monthly new car sales ranking in any country, it was awarded 2013 Motor Trend Car of the year, and more.
