U.S. military leaders and Arab partners said on Tuesday that their aerial attacks in Syria and Iraq that began on Monday are only the beginning of a campaign that will last for months. The airstrikes are targeted at Islamic State jihadists attempting to set up their own country and Khorasan group militants plotting against the West.
