Mexican business magnate and second-richest person in the world (behind former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates) Carlos Slim hit the headlines yesterday (Monday) when he shared a radical theory about revolutionizing the work week.
At a press conference in Paraguay, Slim outlined a three-day work week. Each day, an employee would log 11 hours. The retirement age would increase to around ages 70 to 75.
"With three work days a week, we would have more time to relax, for quality of life," Slim said. "Having four days [off] would be very important to generate new entertainment activities and other ways of being occupied."
