Numerous announcements came from the marijuana industry on April 20, 2017, which is known as the official "pot holiday."
And some of the announcements could mean big things for select marijuana stocks.
That's why today, we want to make sure our readers are all caught up on the latest pot stock news and cannabis companies to watch.
The first marijuana stock on our watch list today is MassRoots Inc. (OTCMKTS: MSRT).
As members of our free Profit Alerts service know, we've been watching MSRT since November 2016. MassRoots is a social networking company that allows marijuana enthusiasts to connect.
As of March 20, MSRT has more than 1 million registered users, according to a company press release.
And we're continuing to watch this marijuana stock because of a new partnership with Whoopi Goldberg and Maya Elisabeth (an award-winning edibles maker). The duo's company, Whoopi and Maya, was launched in 2016, according to MarijuanaStocks.com.
Its offerings include an herbal medical cannabis product designed to provide relief for women with menstrual cramps.
MassRoots didn't provide specifics on the partnership in its April 20 announcement. But Goldberg said she is excited to work with the marijuana social media site to get the word out about her cannabis products.
Which States Will Legalize Marijuana Next?
Another big announcement on April 20 was from Future Farm Technologies Inc. (OTCMKTS: FFRMF).
The lighting and fixtures company said it sold out of its Scorpion LED COB Grow Lights. The company also passed Interetek's ETL certification process, which is proof of product compliance to North American safety standards.
The safety standard now approves the Scorpion line of indoor grow lights for retail sale across North America.

As a whole, the LED lighting market was worth $30 billion in 2016. According to the company's website, the global LED agricultural grow light market will be worth $1.8 billion by 2021.
While those two stocks are both worth watching this week, this third stock is our top marijuana stock to watch now.
