The Top Stock Market Stories for Friday

  • The Federal Reserve will be in focus today when four members of the central bank take the stage at different events across the country. Today features very little economic data or earnings reports from blue-chip companies. Instead, the market is likely to move on broader sentiment tied to expectations on interest rates moving forward.

  • Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (NYSE: HPE) popped nearly 12% this morning after the tech giant topped Wall Street earnings expectations after the bell Thursday.
