Why the Dow Jones Today Will Climb Again

The Dow Jones today will see more gains after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell suggested the U.S. central bank will cut interest rates during its July meeting.

Powell has faced pressure from President Donald Trump, who has argued that rate cuts will not drive significant inflation.

Trump wants to slash borrowing costs in order to help expand the U.S. economy.

How to Get Rich in a "Weird" Market

I've seen a vast spectrum of different market conditions over my three-odd decades investing, but this – right now – is one of the weirder markets and more bizarre economies I can recall ever experiencing.

Value, they tell me, is dead. I dispute that; I think uninformed, static stock-picking by large institutions is really what's "dead."

That said, it's undeniable that most value managers are sucking eggs right now.

As we've seen, normally, value and momentum trade off lead position in the "here's what's working" stakes; if one is working, the other usually isn't doing so hot, but will come into ascendance eventually.

But weirdly enough, there is no real reason to cheer in the momentum camp just now, either; most momentum managers are struggling.

I'm struggling, too. Specifically, I'm "struggling" to understand how momentum lags in a rising market, but it's there in black and white: Momentum is indeed lagging and has been all year.

But that's not even the weirdest thing...

Why the Price of Gold Could Reach a Five-Year High of $1,500

Just 30 days ago, gold was still trading below $1,340, and yet gold bugs were enamored.

Today, there are many indications the price of gold is ready to soar well beyond the $1,400 mark.

Gold certainly could sense when the Fed was about to telegraph its potential return to easing through lower rates.

In the first half of June, the price of gold had already moved up by $60, or 4.7%, from $1,280 to $1,340.

Since then, gold has re-tested the $1,400 level as traders have been taking profits. What was once the ceiling for gold price is quickly becoming the floor.

This new regulation will immediately increase demand for low-sulfur fuels by an estimated 2 million barrels per day.

That coupled with the current market makes the stock we have for you today an excellent buy.

One of the Top Penny Stocks in July 2019 Could Pop 92%

We’ve searched the top penny stocks in July 2019 and found the one with the most breakout potential.

Now, we’re going to share it with you. But first, we’ll recall a few winners you might have missed recently.

For example, one week in June, Insys Therapeutics Inc. (OTCMKTS: INSYQ) was the top penny stock. It climbed only $0.13 per share – but remember, penny stocks sell for $5 or less, by the SEC’s definition.

So at those prices, even small moves can mean big upside for stockholders.

In fact, that $0.13 per share translated to 105% growth in the stock price.

The Dow Jones Today Will Jump as Fed Plans Rate Cut

The Dow Jones today is up as investors continue to cheer an expected rate cut later this month by the Federal Reserve.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell will testify today before the Senate Banking Committee, a day after speaking with the House Financial Services Committee.

Powell said the Fed is likely to more actively support economic growth due to the recent stalling in business investments across the country.

One of the Best Defense Stocks to Buy as Iran Tensions Mount

In June, Iran announced its military had shot down a U.S. drone and claimed its nation was "ready for war."

The country has rejected accusations from the United States that it violated terms of a 2015 nuclear agreement and it could once again be facing U.N. sanctions.

This is a critical time on the world stage, but it’s also caught the attention of Wall Street and defense stock investors.

When geopolitical uncertainty rears its ugly head, defense stocks tend to soar.

And given the U.S. commitment to a strong defense, some of these investments can even be considered resistant to recessions.

There's a Lot to Gain from This Dow Theory "Failure"

When the markets get irrational, traders like our Chris Johnson ask lots of questions because there’s something to be learned – and money to be made.

While markets constantly change and evolve, there are a few rules that remain constant, such as the Dow Theory.

But despite that, what’s currently going on is signaling us to stay away, or even short, the Dow Jones Transpiration Average aggressively.

Let’s look at the issues pointing us to these bearish opportunities and the profits that can be made…
