Will the Coronavirus Cause a Recession?

The longest bull market in history could be coming to an end. The Dow lost 1,000 points on Feb. 24 (Monday) alone, and lost 12% that week.

Though it recovered some of those losses, many investors still think the worst is yet to come.

Are they wrong?

Or will the coronavirus cause a recession?

How to Lower Your Risk While Taking Advantage of This Historic Trading Volatility

Looking at the wild markets this week, one thing – maybe the only thing – for sure right now is that market volatility is here to stay.

Long-term investors will want to simply stay the course. Stay disciplined and stick to your established strategy.

Of course, daily 1,000-point swings have handed us many new short-term profit opportunities. Exploiting this volatility, as many smart traders do, can be very profitable.

Smart trading does not mean trying to find a stock that will pop and time your buying perfectly, as some investors have tried to do recently. Piling in to the "hot" biotech stock that's jumping on vaccine rumors can be extremely expensive and high-risk – and it rarely pays off.

That's why I love options. In a market like this one, they allow you to get in and get out in a short time frame, with much lower risk, much lower cost, and much lower stress, as well.

Of course, huge moves like this can bring increased risk to your trades – but there's a simple way to lower that risk while taking advantage of this historic volatility… Full Story

Today, we are digging into three dividend stocks to buy in the wake of the recent market pullback and Fed rate cuts.

Fears over the coronavirus have brought volatility back in a big way.

Last week, the CBOE Volatility Index ($VIX) rocketed 88% higher.

But don't let that scare you. Volatility means stocks move.

That means more potential to profit.

We're taking advantage of that by trading options on some of the stocks most affected by the volatility and we've already bagged gains of 450% and 50% in just a week.

And we're going to keep going this week with this trade...

The Future Impact of the Coronavirus on Mankind and Financial Markets

The coronavirus has overtaken and decimated financial markets just as quickly as it has spread across the globe, infecting and killing thousands of people.

And while the Dow jumped up to nearly 1,295 points in volatile trading by market close Monday – its biggest one-day point gain in history – the one thing we can be certain about is that this is far from over. In fact, there are going to be plenty of market swings ahead.

As bad as it's been for global stock markets, it will get a lot worse as the number of deaths attributable to the virus increases dramatically along with infection rates – and most frighteningly, mortality rates.

Starting today, I'm sharing with you a series of ongoing reports documenting the coronavirus's impact on lives, economies, and financial markets – specifically, asset classes to avoid and invest in. You'll get weekly updates on markets along with specific stock recommendations designed to profit and protect your portfolios from the virus's spreading impact, and what to invest in when the crisis recedes.
