Earlier this week, though, the security suffered volatility, with the underlying industry struggling for traction. Specifically, less-than-desirable financial results from Carnival’s main competitors sank the entire sector. Still, within the choppiness of [CCL](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/ccl) stock lies an informational arbitrage opportunity. Recently, both **Royal Caribbean** (RCL) and **Norwegian Cruise Line** (NCLH) disclosed their earnings results. For Royal, which released results in late October, [revenue](https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/rcl/earnings) of $5.14 billion came in just shy of the consensus estimate of $5.17 billion. It was a similar story with Norwegian, which generated sales of $2.94 billion against an estimate of $3.02 billion. Nevertheless, momentum in [CCL](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/ccl) stock today appears robust, while sentiment is soft for RCL and especially NCLH. Specifically for Carnival, traders may be able to take advantage of a hidden arbitrage opportunity. Over the next 10 weeks, the median returns of [CCL](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/ccl) stock would be expected to form a distributional curve, with outcomes ranging between $26.95 to $27.65 (assuming an anchor price of $27.22). Further, price clustering would be expected to occur at around $27.25.  However, the current quantitative structure of [CCL](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/ccl) stock is arranged in a 4-6-D formation: four up weeks, six down weeks, with an overall downward slope. Under this specific market stimulus, the 10-week forward outcomes would be expected to range between $26.50 and $29.50. Most importantly, price clustering would occur around $27.80. As such, there is a 2.02% positive delta in price densities that no one in the financial realm is picking up. One options trade to consider is the 26/29 bull call spread expiring Dec. 19. This transaction will require [CCL](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/ccl) stock to reach the $29 strike price at expiration to collect the maximum payout of almost 99%.
