Bloom Energy (BE) Just Dropped More than 7%: Is This a Buying Opportunity or a Bull Trap?[Stocks](https://moneymorning.com/category/article/stocks/) # Bloom Energy (BE) Just Dropped More than 7%: Is This a Buying Opportunity or a Bull Trap? by Joshua Enomoto November 7, 2025 Share it: Following a strong showing in its latest financial disclosure, **Bloom Energy** ( [BE](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/be)) jumped higher on robust growth implications. Nevertheless, recent choppiness has many investors alarmed about the possibility of being left holding the bag. Since the start of the year, [BE](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/be) stock has gained almost 474%. At some point, stakeholders will be tempted to take profits off the table. Indeed, the latest volatility — which has seen [BE](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/be) stock lose about 7% on Friday — could simply be a matter of rerating collective expectations. Right now, [BE](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/be) trades at a forward multiple of 102. At the midway point this year, this metric sat at a much more palatable 50.51. As well, Bloom trades at 12.41-times trailing-12-month (TTM) sales. At the end of June, this multiple was 3.49. To be fair, valuation ratios don’t represent universal truth claims. Further, the wide spread in analyst expectations — which ranges between $26 (set in May 2025) and $160 — reflects an uncomfortable reality: fundamental concepts such as “intrinsic value” are based on expert opinions. Without a true reference, it’s incredibly difficult to gauge where a security may head next. That being said, traders often utilize these ratios to psychologically determine their risk exposure. With these metrics being incredibly elevated relative to prior levels, it’s possible that [BE](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/be) stock could face corrective pressure. Yes, Bloom did deliver the goods in the [third quarter](https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/be/earnings), posting earnings per share of 15 cents on revenue of $519.05 million, beating out analysts’ expectations. However, that optimism is almost surely baked into the stock by now. By using Russian axioms on a dataset extending back to January 2019, it’s possible to represent the forward 10-week median returns of [BE](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/be) stock as a distributional curve, with prices ranging between $125 to $133 (assuming an anchor price of $128). Further, price clustering would be forecasted to be predominant at around $127.95. However, the current quantitative structure of [BE](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/be) stock is arranged as a 7-3-U formation: in the trailing 10 weeks, [BE](https://moneymorning.com/stocks/be) printed seven up weeks, three down weeks, with an overall upward slope. Under this sequence, the forward 10-week returns would shift to the left (negative), with prices ranging between about $90 to $140. Most importantly, price clustering would be expected to occur predominantly at $108, with secondary clustering likely to materialize at $119. Either way, both densities sit well below the anchor, meaning that, at this moment, corrective pressure is quite high. Now, probabilities don’t mean certainties so expectations could shift with new exogenous variables. That’s the unknown that no model can reliably predict. However, as circumstances stand right now, there is a greater risk of additional downside action occurring. **Beat the market, without relying on brokers or biased institutions.** Email(Required) Phone This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
