CrowdStrike's Best Quarter Ever Just Repriced Cyber
CrowdStrike did not just beat. It put up the kind of cyber quarter that resets the growth argument for the whole sector.
Shares of CrowdStrike (CRWD) jumped about 20.5% on Thursday after the company reported revenue of $1.47 billion, up roughly 26% year over year, and non-GAAP earnings of $0.31 a share. Ending annual recurring revenue hit $5.84 billion. Net new ARR set a record at about $333 million, up 51% from a year ago.
CEO George Kurtz called it the best quarter in the company's history. The stock reaction said investors believed him.
Flex is the commercial engine
Falcon Flex accounts now carry more than $2.29 billion in ending ARR, up about 101% year over year. CrowdStrike added more than 900 Flex accounts in the quarter. Customers converting from standard subscriptions to Flex saw average ending ARR lift above 40%. That is platform consolidation dressed as a pricing plan.
Cloud Security ARR cleared $905 million. Next-Gen SIEM passed $695 million, up more than 60%. Identity cleared $585 million. The story is not one product saving the day. It is the full Falcon stack winning bigger multi-module deals while AI security budgets keep opening.
Guidance went up with the results
Full-year revenue is now guided to about $5.99 billion to $6.01 billion. Net new ARR for the year is expected near $1.35 billion, roughly 34% growth at the midpoint. Management also pointed to a record third-quarter pipeline. When a cyber name raises the bar after already clearing a high one, the multiple usually expands before the skeptics finish the spreadsheet.
I still treat cyber as a trust business first. Customers pay for outcomes when the threat environment gets uglier and the old point tools stop keeping up. Mythos-era AI attacks make that case for CrowdStrike without a marketing department needing to invent it.
Bottom line: CrowdStrike just showed AI-era cyber demand is still accelerating, and a 20% day only ages well if Flex keeps turning platform wins into durable ARR.
