The Apple suppliers list is an essential tool for those fond of alternative ways of investing in the Cupertino, Calif.-based tech giant.
The immense scale of Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) as a consumer electronics retailer means it has a tangible impact on the fortunes of dozens of its suppliers.

In fiscal 2017, Apple raked in $229.2 billion in revenue and $48.4 billion in net income.
Apple's profits exceed what most companies make in revenue. Social media giant Facebook Inc. (Nasdaq: FB), for instance, made just $40.6 billion in revenue in 2017.
So good or bad sales news about the latest iPhone model can have an instant impact on an Apple supplier stock.
We've seen both occur in the past six months.
At the end of October 2017, Apple's claim that pre-orders for the new iPhone X were "off the charts" drove several Apple supplier stocks higher.
Dialog Semiconductor Plc. (OTCMKTS: DLGNF) popped 6.5% the day the news broke. STMicroelectronics NV (Nasdaq: STM) rose 3.5%. Both are chip suppliers.
The script reversed just two months later, when rumors that Apple would cut its iPhone X sales forecast sent AAPL supplier stocks tumbling. Genius Electronic Optical Co. Ltd., which supplies iPhone camera lenses and trades on the Taiwan exchange, fell 2.4% that day. Pegatron Corp. (OTCMKTS: PGTRF), which manufactures iPhones for Apple, dropped 3.2%.
The first Apple suppliers list was published in 2012. It's updated each year. Watching who's new to the list - and who got dropped - offers clues about how well a given tech supplier is faring. Losing Apple as a customer is always bad sign - worse if a lot of your business comes from Apple.

The first AAPL suppliers list consisted of 150 companies. The current list includes Apple's top 200 suppliers.
Below, we've duplicated the 2018 Apple suppliers list, but with several enhancements. For one thing, we've eliminated multiple listings (many companies have more than one physical location that supplies Apple.)
We've also added ticker symbols for companies that trade on U.S. exchanges. Please remember that over-the-counter (OTC) market stocks are typically thinly traded.
Finally, we've denoted companies that depend on Apple for 10% or more of their business with an asterisk (*).
