When I was pursuing my MBA in finance at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Upstate New York, I was also covering Eastman Kodak Co. (NYSE: KODK) for the newspaper there.
The "Kodak Beat," as it was called, was the busiest at the paper... and involved a lot of very early mornings and very late nights, as well as a great deal of travel.
Between the Kodak beat - and business school - I kept an exceptionally frenetic schedule.
To make it doable, I worked a day shift at the paper - and attended classes mostly at night.
During several of the semesters, however - to get into a class that I needed - I made an exception and took a class during the day.
