I awoke from a really sound sleep in the very early morning hours Monday - and realized that I was freezing.
A look at the thermostat told me the temperature in our house north of Baltimore was 61 degrees - and falling... fast. And some flashlight-guided fumbling with our furnace told me that the vaunted metal box in the basement wasn't making any heat.
None at all.
Great timing - since it was the coldest night of winter, so far.
