Start the conversation
During my 22-year career as a newspaper journalist, I got the opportunity to cover some fascinating "beats."
I started out with the usual cops, courts, fire, town government and fire-company-banquet assignments that all new reporters cut their teeth on. And they were all fun.
Then I started to specialize, and made business journalism my calling.
I was always glad I did, for that allowed me to interview CEOs, cover national news stories, and travel to places like Hollywood, Silicon Valley, Washington, Japan and China. And I covered just about every kind of company and business-news story you can think of.
