I'm not an avid angler - but I do like to fish.
Back in the 1970s, before the 1984 ban, I went out on the Chesapeake Bay, going after rockfish.
And when I was in high school, before the "powers that be" halted the practice, I used to fish with my Dad off the catwalk of the Conowingo Dam, high over Maryland's Susquehanna River.
Those catfish were smart. Once hooked, they'd swim down to the craggy bottom on the river bottom, where they'd wind your line around the rocks - and swim free when it snapped.
