As a writer who loves history, I love to look at old diaries, travel logs or letters where the eloquence and language craftsmanship comes through.
Historic speeches have that same hold on me.
I was thinking about this as I got ready for work this earlier this week... thinking about the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor... and about the "Infamy Speech" that U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave the next day.
