The United States isn't the only place in the world where a game of "trump" is playing out.
We're also seeing it in East Asia.
Both of these contests (I trump you, then you trump me) have transformed their respective environs into "hot spots" where unexpected developments could roil the stock-and-bond markets - or even "shock" the economy enough for it to lock up.
But of these two "trump" contests - the presidential election here in the United States and the string of one-upmanship-focused military moves in Asia - it's the latter that wields the biggest fallout potential.
