As a boy growing up in the Pittsburgh suburb of Murrysville in the early 1970s, I was an ardent fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team.
And two of my heroes (in addition to my Dad) were future Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente and Willie Stargell.
