Facebook Inc. (Nasdaq: FB) has reportedly tried to buy picture and video app Snapchat for as much as $3 billion. Although Snapchat refused Facebook's offer, that hasn't stopped CEO Mark Zuckerberg from adding the popular features of Snapchat to his own social networks. Although the financial terms have not been disclosed, Facebook purchased photo app Masquerade. Masquerade allows users to use animated filters on photos, and it currently has a very popular face-swapping filter. Masquerade offers similar features available on Snapchat. It's expected that you will be able to use Masquerade directly on Facebook in the near future.
