The Best Video Streaming Stocks to Buy Aren't NFLX or AMZN

The Internet streaming video market is exploding, but the best stocks to buy here are not the most obvious.

We're at the dawn of a new era of television. Consumers - especially those under 30 - spend less and less time watching cable TV. Instead they watch streaming video over the Internet, usually on a mobile device like a tablet or smartphone.

But Money Morning Chief Investment Strategist Keith Fitz-Gerald says the best stocks to buy to profit from this trend are neither Netflix Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) nor Amazon.com. Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN).

"Amazon I wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole," Fitz-Gerald said on the FOX Business program "Varney & Co." yesterday (Monday). "The company exists because there was no competition. But that's changing as people like Microsoft and Google eat into their margins and into their business."

And he said he'd only go with Netflix "on a long-term basis."

Instead, Fitz-Gerald recommends online content delivery companies.

The stocks to buy now are companies that "hold data in the cloud, things that touch the data that's actually going on to those portable devices we all like," he said.

Beat the Market in 2015: Fitz-Gerald is very optimistic about 2015 for investors. He believes this year will be filled with opportunity. But many investors are not set up to take advantage of it. That's why he's come up with this stunningly simple tactic. It could increase your returns by nearly 22% a year...
