How a 1911 Marmon Wasp "IndyCar" Led Us Right to This Tech Stock

When Ray Harroun came out of retirement in 1911 to race in the first Indianapolis 500, he made a single simple request.

And the Indy race organizers all but choked on it.

Harroun wanted to ditch the rules-mandated ride-along mechanic - to cut weight and give his pioneering yellow Marmon Wasp an edge at "The Brickyard."

Coming from just about anyone else, this request would have been dismissed without discussion.
