Will Google buy eBay

On Friday, a report surfaced that Google (Nasdaq: GOOG, GOOGL) was in talks to buy a 40% stake in eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY) for $85 billion at $68 per share.

Although the rumor was dispelled by an eBay spokesman, an eventual partnership between these two e-commerce companies isn't out of the question...
