In the current politically charged environment, few stocks stand out as a great way to grow your wealth and hedge against Washington's hijinks.
However, Money Morning Technical Trading Specialist D.R. Barton, Jr., has identified five stocks that do both.
In fact, these five stocks are completely immune to politics.
You see, these great companies won't be unhinged no matter what kind of healthcare plan we have in place, what North Korea is doing, or what President Donald Trump puts out on his Twitter feed.
We're talking about the "Fab Five Tech Stocks": Facebook Inc. (Nasdaq: FB), Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN), Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT), Alphabet Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOGL), and Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL).
In fact, the only proposal coming out of Washington that would affect these companies is a repatriation tax break that would actually benefit them - especially Apple, which has more than $230 billion in overseas cash. And if the tax breaks don't come, no problem - they will still flourish.
"The underpinning of this market are these stocks that are bringing everything else up with them," said D.R. on "Varney & Co." today (July 19).
Check out the short video below, in which D.R. discusses where he sees these stocks going and how you should play them right now.
