Despite Down Earnings, Cheniere (NYSE: LNG) Is One of Top LNG Stocks to Buy

Make no mistake – Cheniere Energy Inc. (NYSE: LNG) is still one of the best LNG stocks to buy, despite Friday's earnings miss.

Cheniere reported a net loss attributable to common stockholders (basic and diluted) of $0.61 per share or $135.2 million for Q4. That compares to a net loss of $0.44 per share, or $94.3 million, for the previous year.

How Palo Alto Networks Inc. (NYSE: PANW) Reported Record-Breaking Earnings Today

Monday morning, Palo Alto Networks Inc. (NYSE: PANW) reported record-breaking Q2 2014 earnings, sending shares flying more than 6.41% as of 10:50 a.m. EST.

Total revenue for the company's second quarter grew 46% year over year to a record $141.1 million, beating Wall Street estimates of $135.6 million. Revenue is up $44.6 million compared to the same quarter in 2013, and deferred revenue grew 72% year over year to reach a record $324.6 million.

Pan American Silver (Nasdaq: PAAS) Notches Victory over Lower Silver Prices

Despite lower silver prices, Vancouver's Pan American Silver Corp. (Nasdaq: PAAS) reported strong earnings yesterday (Thursday) that sent its shares soaring 6.28% over the day – and up to an 8.35% gain through Friday.

At first glance, Pan American's story may appear grim. In 2013, silver prices fell 35.7%, and Pan American shares fell right alongside, for a remarkably similar 35.57% loss across the year.

Thursday's earnings posted a net loss of $293.1 million, or $1.94 per share, during Q4 2013.

Stock Market Today Falls on Housing; Here Are the Big Movers

U.S. stocks were fairly stagnant today, with the three major indices closing slightly lower and wrapping up the four-day trading week essentially on par with where it began.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.19%, or 30 points, at 16,103 points; the S&P 500  closed down 0.21%, or 4 points, at 1,836; and the Nasdaq closed down 0.11%, or 5 points, at 4,263 points.
